Deleting your data
Want out? Fine. Here's how.
Delete your account
- Email support@justsendthecheck.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.”
- We reply to confirm it's you. If a check is still on its way or waiting to be cashed, we'll tell you what happens to it first.
- We verify and process your request, respond within the period required by applicable law, and explain any records that must be retained or any lawful extension. We confirm the result by email.
What gets deleted
We close the account, revoke its service connections and delete information that is no longer needed, such as profile settings, saved payees and return-address preferences. Documents and information that form part of a required transaction or investigation record may be retained as described below. Pending checks and refunds remain subject to the Terms.
What we have to keep
We may retain payment, check, authorization and related records for applicable legal obligations, unresolved checks or disputes, fraud prevention and legal claims. We delete or deidentify them when those purposes end and no legal hold applies. Backup copies age out through the normal replacement cycle. See the Privacy Notice.
Signed in with Google or Facebook?
Your deletion request includes information received through social sign-in, subject to the retention exceptions above. You can also remove JustSendTheCheck from your Google or Facebook connected-app settings. Removing a social connection alone does not delete our service records, so contact us too.
Just want an agent gone?
Disconnect it on your account. It loses access right away.
